Arul Anandar College Autonomous

Arul Anandar College (Autonomous) a minority Catholic institution, affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, is one of the constituent colleges of the Jesuit Madurai Province of the Society of Jesus. The other Jesuit colleges in Tamil Nadu are St.Joseph?s College (Autonomous) Tiruchirapalli, St. Xavier?s College (Autonomous) and St. Xavier?s College of Education (Autonomous) Palayamkottai, Loyola College (Autonomous), Loyola College of Education, Chennai, Loyola College, Vettavalam and Loyola College of Engineering, Chennai. All these institutions under the chairmanship of the Provincial of the Jesuit Madurai Province follow a common policy for admissions, appointments and administration. As a minority institution the college caters primarily to the formation of Christian students. However it keeps its portals open to any student without discrimination of caste and creed. The college emblem with the motto `work, justice and love? stands for hard work, passion for truth and justice by which the institution pioneers to bring about social transformation in the rural neighbourhood through its ideal of enlightened service flowing from the humanity of Jesus Christ.
