10th August , 1960 is a red letter day for the people of Bilasipara, as on this auspicious day , the College was established in a picturesque surroundings of the Bilasipara town . It was made possible with the active help and co-operation of the people of Bilasipara and its adjoining ares. The College owes its heavy debt of gratitude to the Late Zamindar N.N. Chowdhury of the locality who had donated land and a building to the College at the beginning. Further , the following leading persons of the locality namely Late Jagananda Chakraborty , Ex-Chairman , Bilasipara Town Committee , Late Nripendra Nath Chkraborty , Ex-Headmaster , Rokakhata High School , Late Gangaram Sharma , Local Leader , Late Laxmi Narayan Agarwala, Local Jonab Deraj uddin Sarkar , Ex-M.L.A. and Late Sekandar Ali Bepari , Local Leader had offered untiring services for the development of the college in Dhubri District and at present it occupies an important place in the spread of higher education in the western most part of the state of Assam.
