Training College, a premier institute of education, is located in South Mumbai It offers teacher preparation programmes for various levels ranging from Diploma in Early Childhood Education, the Diploma in Teacher Education and the Bachelor of Education Programmes It is a centre for the Master of Arts (Education) programme of the Institute of Distance and Open Learning, University of Mumbai It is also a centre for Doctor of Philosophy (Education) of the University of Mumbai BTTC is a Sindhi minority, private-aided college affiliated to University of Mumbai and managed by the reputed Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board It has been re-accredited Grade ?A? by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2011 The late Principal of Kishinchand Chellaram College, Dr K M Kundnani and our founder Principal Dr N R Parasnis, initiated the work of college in the K C College building at Churchgate in April 1969 The college started functioning formally from 16th June 1969 Initially four rooms of KC College were placed at the disposal of the college and then the premises were shifted to Cuffe Parade, Colaba in 1971 The college shifted to its current premises at Apollo Bunder in May 1991 With a humble beginning in 1969, BTTC has become a resource centre in education due to its prominent achievements in teacher preparation, research, extension services, co-curricular activities and add-on courses The alumni of the college are placed in esteemed educational institutions both locally as well as globally
