The Sant Gadge Maharaj College was established in the year 1972 The college imparts education at Degree level in the field of BCOM and BMS (affiliated Mumbai University) and at the Junior Level (11th and 12th) in the field of Commerce with IT Subject (Affiliated to Maharashtra State Board) The college also provides Job Opportunities to its students with the help of various placement agencies The teaching staff of the college is dedicated, sincere and hardworking College also conducts various activities like Blood Donation Camps, Cleanliness Drives, NSS Rural Camp and lectures on 'Andha Shraddha' (Blind Faith/Superstitions) etc The S G M College holds a distinction of conducting evening degree college since 1972-1990 for the employed poor students The college administration is not only considerate but practically incorporated help to our students especially economically unsound as well as reserve category students The college provides extra lectures for the repeater students in subjects where results are poor as well as extra lectures for regular students cyclostyled notes are distributed free of charge the book bank scheme is particularly for the above students on a payments of nominal deposit The college has health centre near library, which is looked after qualified doctors who attends to the needs of the students in case of medicine, treatment and even counseling The college library is having 14,209 books and big number of magazines to help students gather knowledge and also update general knowledge, Newspapers journals in different languages are subscribed to cater to the students professing different languages like Marathi, Hindi, English and Gujarati Free Internet facility is provided to students in the computer labs and library for educational research
