he Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara founded by Padmabhushan late Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil in 1919, is one of the leading educational institutes in Asia. The value of it?s contribution to education in general is enormously great as it has from the very beginning tried all its best to lay emphasis on the education of the downtrodden, poor and ignorant that really from the major bulk of society. Padmabhushan late Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil was man of the masses who donated all his mind and heart to the cause of their education. He had an incisive understanding of the social ills that beset his times and had fully realized the dive need of the spread of education. He believed that education alone could eradicate illiteracy, untouchability, caste-hierarchy, money lending and superstitious, social and economic inequality. All his life he tried to translate his belief into reality. He was the phophet of the poor, the week dispossessed and lift no stone unturned for their upliftment. Such a renowned person has established their educational institute with very specific aims and objectives. At present the Sanstha is managing 36 degree colleges of Arts, Commerce and Science stream, 02 B.Ed.. 01 Law, 01 Engineering, 08 D.Ed. colleges, 182 Junior colleges, 436 High Schools, 41 Primary Schools, 04 Industrial training institutes, 08 Ashramshalas, 70 Hostels and 64 other institutes. The Mission lead down by the great social reformer and the founder of the Sanstha, Padmabhushan late Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil is guiding principle in the management of all the sanstha?s institutes. Rayat Shikshan Sanstha?s Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar is a private urban-based, aided educational institution and was established in year 1989. It is permanently affiliated to the University of Pune and is recognized under Section 2f and 12B of the UGC act. The college is named in the memory of Late. Smt. Radhabai Kale the mother of Hon. Shri. Shankarraoji Kale (Ex. M.P.) and one the trustee of the Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. The college is located on a spacious area of 6.866 acres behind Tarakpur S.T. stand. The location is very convenient for girl students, who come from outside the city. At present the college is offering undergraduate degree programmes in Arts, Commerce and Science. An Arts, six subjects (English, Marathi, Hindi, History, Economics and Geography) are offered at Special level and four subjects (Political Science, Sociology, Psychology and Urdu) at General level. In Science at Special level Chemistry and Botany and at General level Physics, Mathematics and Zoology are offered. College is also offering post graduate degree programmes in Arts (Hindi) and Science(Org. Chem.), also professional course like B.C.A.
