The JEXPO 2017 is a state level polytechnic entrance test which is also referred as Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics. This examination is supervised by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. Through this examination, student will be selected for admissions in the first year of diploma courses offered by various polytechnic colleges in West Bengal state. Here students can check details of JEXPO 2017 examination.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be citizen of India.
  • Students must have passed 10th or its equivalent examination with English, Physical Science/Science and Mathematics from any recognized board.
  • Candidates should have obtained minimum 35% aggregate in the qualifying exam (without additional subjects).
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.
  • No upper age limit, but candidate’s date of birth should not be after 1st July 2002.

Exam Pattern

  • Papers: This exam has been divided into two papers.

    • Paper 1 for Mathematics and Paper 2 for Physics & Chemistry.

  • Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination.

  • No of Questions: The question paper will comprises of total 200 questions.

    • Total 100 questions will be asked from Mathematics.

    • 50 questions will be asked form Physics and Chemistry each.

  • Duration: The exam duration will be two hours (120 minutes).

  • Students can avail the http://webscte.org/jexpo.html  Application Form through online or offline mode.
  • The application form has been released from 30th January 2017.
  • OMR application along with Information Brochure has been available in All Government, Government Sponsored and Self-financed polytechnics affiliated to the WBSCT & VE & SD (erstwhile WBSCTE), Government ITI s including PTP run Private and Government ITIs in West Bengal and one centre in Tripura.
  • After submitting the online application, candidates are required to take printout of the application form.
  • Those get the form through offline mode have to submit the form in the above mentioned centers.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for OMR Application is Rs. 500/- for general and Rs. 250/- for Kanyashree Enrollees.
  • Online application fee is Rs. 450 (Rs. 225 for Kanyashree Enrollees).
