The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was formed in 1962 by the West Bengal State Government to conduct Joint Entrance Examination for admission to different institutions in West Bengal providing education in medical, engineering and other technical fields.

The goal of the board has always been focused towards value enhancement in terms of transparency in Common Entrance Examination conduction in different professional undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in the entire West Bengal with the help of up to date and state of the art technology.

The board has authority over conduction of common, competitive, joint/combined entrance examinations for admission to above stated courses in the state of West Bengal.

JENPAUH-2 : For the academic session 2017-2018, the board will conduct common entrance examination, namely JENUPAH-2 for admission to :

  • BHMS (bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery)
  • BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
  • BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
  • BMLT (Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technician)

ELIGIBILITY:

FOR APPEARING IN JENPAUH 2:

  • Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Age: Not less than 17 years as on 31st December 2017

FOR ADMISSION TO VARIOUS COURSES:

  1. BHMS: The candidate must have passed in 2017 or before, or appeared in 2017 at Higher Senior Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent Board/Council of examination recognized by the relevant council. Subjects required are English, Physics, Chemistry, biology and Vernacular or some other as a 5th subject. Individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and biology are necessary.
  2. BAMS:  The candidate must have passed in 2017 or before, or appeared in 2017 at Higher Senior Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent Board/Council of examination recognized by the relevant council. Subjects required are English, Physics, Chemistry, biology and Vernacular or some other as a 5th subject. Candidates should also have 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together.
  3. BUMS: The candidate must have passed in 2017 or before, or appeared in 2017 at Higher Senior Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent Board/Council of examination recognized by the relevant council. Subjects required are English, Physics, Chemistry, biology and Vernacular or some other as a 5th subject. Candidates should also have 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together.
  4. BMLT: The candidate must have passed in 2017 or before, or appeared in 2017 at Higher Senior Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent Board/Council of examination recognized by the relevant council. Subjects required are English, Physics, Chemistry, biology and Vernacular or some other as a 5th subject. Individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and biology are necessary.

The entrance test is comprised of material from the 11th and 12th standard syllabus of the higher secondary examination (10+2 level) under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

HOW TO APPLY

Application for the JENPAUH 2017 has to be proceeded through ONLINE method only. The portal for the same is http://wbjeeb.in

In order to proceed, a working mobile number and an email ID. Further communication will be done only using the provided mobile number and email-ID. 

APPLICATION FORM FILLING: The test taker will enter the registration details into the system. This includes the candidate name, father’s name, mother’s name and Date of Birth, mobile number and email ID.

  • The candidate should choose the password and security question and answer.
  • The registration details have to be consequently filled.
  • An application number will be generated as a result. An SMS/email will also be sent to the candidate.
  • The password and security question/answer have to be remembered by the candidate. This is absolutely necessary as there are no ways to recover password if it is lost.
  • Candidate can log out at this stage.
  • Thereafter, personal details like nationality, income category, address, exam center choice, academic details should be entered.
  • After this, the candidate can review the application, make changes as per necessity and complete the final submission.

IMAGE UPLOAD: At this stage, the candidate must upload scanned images of his/her recent color photograph, signature and left thumb impression in a single step.

  • The photo must be taken on or after 1.12.2016
  • It should be taken in professional studio. Low quality photos taken from mobile phone or self composed portraits are not acceptable.
  • Background should be lightly colored.
  • Photo should be taken without wearing spectacles.
  • The photograph must match with the candidate at the examination center.

EXAMINATION FEE PAYMENT:

After uploading images, candidates will be automatically directed towards the fee payment gateway:

  • The exam fee can be paid online using net banking/Debit Card/Credit Card or through cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan, which gets automatically generated once the said option is chosen. The candidate must take a printout of the challan and deposit the fees in cash at any Allahabad Bank Branch which has Core Banking Services.
  • Examination fee is Rs. 500/- plus Bank’s service charges.

CONFIRMATION PAGE:

After successful completion of the above mentioned steps, candidates will be redirected to the option where they can download or/and print the Confirmation Page. This signifies the completion of Online-Submission of Application for JENPAUH-2. Candidates should take a print out of the Confirmation Page and should preserve it for future admission process.

ADMIT CARD: Admit cards will be generated on the notified date for the student to download and print. It is important that the candidate carries it to the exam center as a hard copy.

  • Candidate should make sure photograph is not mutilated/distorted/soiled.
  • Duplicate admit cards cannot be generated after the examination.
