Electricians are involved in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical machinery and equipments in factory settings, workshops, warehouses, electrical power plants, business and dwelling units etc. Also, they install electric systems for new buildings, and maintain the electric mesh for older ones, deciding the best position for electrical outlets and ventilation systems in the process.  Additionally, they also Study drawings and other specific details to verify electrical circuits, installation details. They install electrical motors, transformers, switchgears. Switchboards, Microphones, loudspeakers and various other electrical equipments, fittings and lighting fixtures. At times, they also operate, attend and maintain electrical motors, pumps etc. Some of the syllabus from the modules includes Reading and applying engineering drawings for various applications on the field, Making electrical wire joints & soldering, planning and preparing earthing installations, installing, testing and setting up of DC machines.
