National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) is a premier national center of excellence in rural development. It builds capacities of the rural development functionaries, elected representatives, academicians and young students through inter-related activities of teaching, training, research, action research and consultancy. The NIRDPR announces its Fourteenth fully residential One-year ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM)’ with an aim to create a committed and competent cadre of rural development professionals in the country. The programme seeks to impart management techniques that will enhance the understanding of the paradigm and practice of rural development.
ELIGIBILITY: Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1 st August, 2017, may also apply.
NIRD Entrance Exam consist of Objective multiple choice type of questions to be completed in 2-1/2 Hrs time. The number of questions may range between 90 and 120. Candidates selected on the basis of the Entrance Test will be invited for Group Discussion and Personal Interview in some major cities or at NIRD, Hyderabad.
SELECTION PROCESS: Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including English Language. Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed candidates.
ENTRANCE TEST: The Entrance Test will be conducted on 28.05.2017 at the following centres: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dimapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvanantapuram. However, the NIRDPR reserves the right to cancel any of the centres or add new centres for any administrative reasons and assign any other centre to the applicants.

Application form to be filled through online from our website (http://www.nird.org.in or http://www.nird.org.in/nird_docs/pgdrdm/pgdrdm14-application.pdf). The applications sent by post will also be accepted through downloadable form available in our website. The filled in online (Hard copy) /downloaded application form should be submitted along with the Application Fee of `200 (`100/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates) through an Account Payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIRDPGDRDM, payable at Hyderabad. The filled in/Downloaded (Hard copy) application form along with Demand Draft should be sent to the Coordinator (Admissions), Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Distance Education, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030, India, so as to reach on or before 15.05.2017, 5.30 PM.
Last date for receipt of applications from the students of North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep is 20.05.2017. Applications received after the cutoff date shall be rejected. NIRDPR reserves the right to make changes to the Diploma Programme, its design/content and the process of selection, depending upon the exigencies without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
