Vidyasagar Mahavidyalaya

Vidyasagar Mahavidyalaya, established in the year 1998, is located in a campus of 1.37 acres in a rural area. It is affiliated to University of Calcutta. The college has been recognized by the UGC under 2(f) and under 12(8) on 22nd June 2005. It is a Govt. aided college, receiving grant from the government and comes under Grant-in-aid category. The "Mission of the Institution" is "to spread education amongst the rural-poor students and to produce good citizens". The college is offering Arts and Commerce courses at UG level. The college volunteered to be assessed by NAAC and submitted its self-study report (SSR) in January 2007.
