Emancipated and enlightened teachers are the torch bearers of the society. Preparing such teahers and creating proper avenues for their holistics development is of course a big challenge. In the year 2004, Murti Devi Memorial College Baghpat-Meerut Road, Baghpat was established by All India Shiksha Devi Education Society (Reg.) (AISDES)- an institute with innovative teacher education programs to cater the educational needs of students who aspire for teaching profession. In the beging a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for an intake of 100 seats was started.This course is recognized by National Council For Teachers Education (NCTE) a statutory body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Government of India New Delhi. And thereafter this course was affiliated by CCS University Meerut, U.P The strength of MDMC, besides the infrastructural facilities it provides, is in its congenial and enriching atmosphere which nurtures and encourages lively student-teacher interaction and a striving towards excellence in both curricular and extra curricular areas of interest. Notwithstanding its name, the college prides itself in affording a secular, libral and yet lively and competitive environment.
