The J.L.N. Govt. College, Mandi Gobindgarh is the only Govt. College in this Rural Area imparting degree education for the last forty years. Started in 1968 by the Municipal Committee of Mandi Gobindgarh, it was taken over by the Punjab Government in 1976. On 3rd January, 2003, the college was shifted to its present premises. This building was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt. Amrinder Singh. Various arts subject are taught in this college.
