he District Purulia is situated in a remote border of the state of West Bengal which comprised of vast backland of rural population which is deprived of facilities of good education, scope of higher studies, cultural advancement and employment opportunities. In this situation there is high need of propagation in education and cultural activities among the mass rural people. Manbhum Institute of Education and Social Science which is a constituent of Manbhum Society of Educational and Cultural Research is comprised of people with academic and cultural bent of mind. The college is going to introduce proposed B. Ed. college with the aim to impart teacher training to meet the growing manpower requirement in secondary and higher-secondary schools and to inculcate the spirit of good education. This course under this college will enable the students mainly from the rural area to get unique employment opportunity. It will create congenial social and academic environment for further education among the mass rural people. The college has aim at forming academic faculties with the heights rigor of academic standard which will consists of permanent, part-time and visiting faculties from the reputed academic institutes.
