"Bankura Primary Teachers' Training Institute", sponsored by Bankura Institute of Computer and Information Sciences (BICIS)", a Registered Society under the Registration of West Bengal Society Act, was established in 2003.With the objective of Spreading job- oriented and need-based education in this part of developing district of Bankura in the state of West Bengal. It was approved by the West Bengal Board of primary Education, with an intake of 150 student trainees. From the Session 2008 - 2009 Bankura PTTI got Recognisation from NCTE, ERC with a intack of 50 student and also got Affiliation from West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE). It is a Co-Educational Institution. Since the year of its establishment in 2003 it has been running quite smoothly and satisfactorily, catering to the needs of the locality. The Institute is housed in a spacious two storied building which stands on the NH-60, Kamladanga, PO-Purandarpur,Dist.-Bankura, West Bengal - 722178. in a natural and ambient setting quite conducive to educational pursuit. The examination results till the last session are quite satisfactory. Run as per the guidelines, syllabus and curriculum stipulated by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education the Institute has all the facilities for curricular and Co-Curricular activities.
