The two most important ingredients for the progress of any area are the fully developed state of educational and health systems. The Sangat Sahib Bhai Pheru Sikh Educational Society took the initiative of providing the same to the people of Faridkot. The Management comprising of socially sensitive citizens representing all sections of Society rose to the occasion and opened an English Medium school in 1973 under the name of Dasmesh Public School. Sangat Sahib Bhai Pheru Sikh Educational Society was established mainly for imparting education to all the communities. It is a registered body and now running five educational institutions namely Khalsa Senior Secondary School (Faridkot), Dasmesh Public School (Faridkot), Dasmesh Public School (Kotkapura), Dasmesh Public School (Bargadi), Dasmesh Institute of Research & Dental Sciences, Faridkot & 100 bedded multispecialty Dasmesh General Hospital and Dasmesh College of Nursing, Faridkot. The Society is working for social, cultural and physical changes for all the people. Having been established in 1992, Dasmesh Institute of Research & Dental Sciences, Faridkot will go down in the annals of dentistry as the first Institution of Malwa region of Punjab in the private sector. The brains behind this venture, who are none other than its S. Karnail Singh Doad, Patron, Director Dr. Gursevak Singh and President, S. Gurdev Singh, Retd. IAS will always be remembered by those who value dentistry and love Punjab.
