Attabira College

Attabira, situated on N.H.6, in between the two district headquarters, Sambalpur & Bargarh, occupies a conspicuous place in the map of western Orissa. Attabira College was established in 1981 in this progressive place on local initiative. The College started functioning from 19th July 1981 with 55 students and 07 departments. Now the student strength of the College is 1125. Since its inception, the institution is trying its best to fulfil its mission of providing quality higher education at an affordable price to the rural populace. Since then, it has never looked back in its commitment to provide quality education. The College has grown in to a fullfledged degree College. It provides teaching facilities both in Humanities & Science. In Humanities, Honours teaching facilities are available in History, Political Science and Oriya while in Science; this facility is there in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.. Necessary permission has been obtained from the Government for opening of Computer Science Honours.
