Dr. Birinchi Kumar Barooah College (DBKBC), Puranigudam was founded on 30th July 1967. This college is registered under U.G.C. and accredited by N.A.A.C. with C++ Grade. This is an arts stream college affiliated to Gauhati University. The college is imparting higher education in both Higher Secondary and Degree level since 1967.In the long course of time the college has produced many students who are giving valuable service to the society and to the nation in the field of education, art and culture, commerce and management, defence, law and order and in both government and private services.
