Government Post Graduate Training College

Post Graduate training college is one of the most renowned teacher training institutes of Assam. It was established in 1957. It is an institute run by Govt of Assam. It offers one year B.Ed course for post graduate students . Govt. of Assam sends working teachers on deputation to this college. The college is affiliated to Dibrugarh University. It has approval from the NCTE (National Council for Teacher's Education) and the ERC (Eastern Regional Committee). The college has a centre for IGNOU's B.Ed course under Distance Education category. Regular classes are held on weekdays and Correspondence classes are open on Sundays.
