Metas Adventist College

The Metas Group of Institutions is a part of the vast array Educational and Medical institutions run by the Seventh Day Adventist Organisation. Worldwide they are operating 5590 educational establishments, including 114 universities and colleges. There are 162 hospitals and sanatoriums as well as 102 nursing homes. The operation of the mission in Surat is managed by the Trustees of Seventh Day Adventist Trust of Southern Asia Division Hosur. Metas is one of the oldest educational and medical institutions operating in the city of Surat. Metas Adventist School and Metas Adventist Hospital are in operation since 1933. Metas Adventist College was established in Surat in 1998. The school, College and hospital were operated as separate units and was brought together under common umbrella in order to cement the fragmented areas and build a solid platform for growth and development under the name Metas. Metas today has spread its wings and has established schools and hospitals in several places Ranchi (Jharkhand), Nuzvid (Andhra Pradesh) and Vyara (Gujarat). Metas Adventist College is one of the few premier colleges in Surat which commenced MBA, BBA and General Nursing in 1998. Metas Adventist college is a self Financed college affiliated to NEHU Shillong from 2006. Today, the college has a total strength of 993 students pursuing Management and Nursing programs. The leader of the institution, Dr. Srikakolli Eliah, is an eminent visionary and educationist in the city of Surat. Under his inspirational leadership Metas Adventist college has grown from strength to strength. The college is operated in a campus located in the heart of the city of Surat with an area of 9 Acrs. The campus houses, besides the college, Metas Adventist hospital and Metas Adventist School. It is fully integrated institution that provides an opportunity for students to study from L.K.G to MBA. The college has well equipped, state-of-the-art infrastructure with fully air conditioned computer labs, audio visual rooms, class rooms, conference room, committee rooms etc. The college focuses on the overall growth and personal development of the students and helps in unearthing their hidden talents. It provides an atmosphere of discipline and learning. The faculty and adminstrators maintain personal rapport with the student, helping in their overall development.
