Punitha Ohm College of Education

Situated in a bucolic ambience of serenity at the backdrop of a hill at kechilapuram at about 5km from kovilpatti. Punitha Ohm College of Education is approved by NCTE and affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU), Chennai. Managed by Muthiahpillai Mariammal Educational and Charitable Trust, its annual intake is one hundred students. It is a co-educational institution which imparts standard education bolstered by a galaxy of well-experienced and well-qualified pedagogues. We always place the element of character building a cut above the others as we strongly believe that character is the bulwark of life. It was inaugurated in September 2008 and the first batch of students came out of the college in June 2009. It has been producing more than 96 percent of results in the university B.Ed Degree Examinations ever since it came into existence. Sustained and concerted efforts are being made to develop our students??? soft skills including communication in spoken English and promote their creative interest focusing our attention on their future, career and employability ensuring a level playing field.
