Vijay Educational Society started an educational institution in the name of Vijay Institute of Medical Sciences at Vijayawada in the year 1973. Today, VES has spread over the entire district and in the state. It has been running various general, nursing and paramedical institutions in Andhra Pradesh for the past 39 years. In the year 1973, the wise man decided that there was a dearth of good Paramedical Educational Institutions in nursing course providing coaching for students with vacuum lacked proper guidance, training and direction. The vacuum was filled with the birth of VIMS. This move was a very welcome one. It was like providing a pot of water to a parched traveller. In the year 1985 the Nursing Institution and 1998 the paramedical Institution were established in the style of Vijay Institute of Medical Sciences. VIMS Institutions are enrolling students from within the state, other states and other countries. VIMS is offering education to students of low economic status with the help of scholarships. Graduates of VIMS institutions are employed in various states of India, middle east, European countries and United States of America. VIMS set a trend for others to follow. It created some innovative coaching modules for students who are opting for paramedical courses. Right from the year of inception, VIMS has found success through its integrated coaching programme. This is an unrefutable proof of the fact that VIMS is the LEADER. Like the stream, men may come and men may go our VIMS will go on for ever. Now the Nursing, Para Medical and General Educational Institution are administrating under VIMS.
