The General Educational Eligibility for entering this course is Master Degree in the relevant Branch of Fisheries Science / Aquaculture. The Tenure of the Course comprises of Course Work (Theoretical) for 01 Semesters & the Research Activity thereafter. The Advanced Scientific study about the Research Methodologies in the field of Principles, Procedures & Practices, associated with the farming of Fish, Aquatic Plants & Other Aquatic Organisms for food, in Fresh / Salt Water under controlled Conditions. The Research Activity includes the Advancements in Genetics & Biotechnology in Aquaculture, Taxonomy & Systematic of Cultivable Aquatic Organisms, Inland Aquaculture, Ornamental Fisheries, Health Management in Aquaculture, Mari-culture, Fish Nutrition, Fish Capture Technology, Fish Processing Technology, Freshwater Plants, Shellfish Genetics, etc. with variability of the Institution offering the Course.
