The General Educational Eligibility for entering this course is Higher Secondary (10+2) from any Recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as Compulsory Subjects. This course offers the knowledge of Forest Ecology & Biodiversity, Tree Seed Technology, Tree Physiology, Principles & Methods of Tree Improvement, Plant Genetic Engineering, Conservation Biology, Plant Molecular Breeding, Breeding Methods in Forest Trees, Reproductive Biology in Trees and Tree Seed Orchards. The other contents that are offered during the course study include Gene Expression & Regulation, Bioinformatics, Concepts of Genetics, Genes & Genomics, Cell & Molecular Biology, Biostatistics, Tissue Culture Techniques, etc. with variability of the Institution offering the Course.
