The Bachelor of Fisheries Science (Aquaculture) is an Undergraduate Degree Course of 4 Years (08 Semester) Duration. The General Educational Eligibility for entering this course is Higher Secondary (10+2) from any Recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as Compulsory Subjects. This Course study is about the Scientific Principles, Procedures & Techniques, associated with the farming of Fish & Other Aquatic Organisms for food, in Fresh / Salt Water under controlled Conditions. This course offers the knowledge of Aquaculture Principles, Meteorology, Taxonomy of Shellfish, Biochemistry Principles, Microbiology Fundamentals, Anatomy of Shellfish & Finfish, Biology of Finfish & Shellfish, Fish Economics, Soil & Water Chemistry, Oceanography and Marine Biology. The other contents that are offered during the course study include Inland Aquaculture, Ornamental Fisheries, Genetics & Biotechnology in Aquaculture, Health Management in Aquaculture, Mari-culture, Fish Nutrition, Fish Capture Technology, Fish Processing Technology, etc. with variability of the Institution offering the Course.
