Dr Sivanthi Aditanar College of Physical Education

Normally, the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu show greater interest in sports. From this area so many players have emerged and reached national and international levels. Dr. B. Sivanthi Adityan, Chairman, Aditanar Educational Institution, has contributed and is still contributing to the development of sports activities in the state, national and international levels. He has received many awards for his excellence in sports. Aditanar Educational Institution started Dr.. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Physical Education in the year 1993. The Dr. SACPE is a co-educational institution is offering a full degree program in sport education with access to excellent sporting facilities and the latest teaching techniques and caters to the graduates who are planning to pursue a variety of sports careers. The College is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Physcial Education and Sports University, Chennai, Tamilnadu and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)and Re-accredited with 'A' Grade by NAAC. Trained postgraduates from our college are now found working throughout Tamilnadu, and in many other States like punjab, karnataka, pondicherry, and kerala. Successful candidates from the college are well qualified and being appointed as Directors, Supervisors, Administrators, Lecturers, Teachers of Physical Education and Recreation in Universities, Colleges, Schools, Industrial Establishments, Commercial Firms, Government and Non-Government agencies which are engaged in promoting Physical Education, Sports and Recreation.
