C K M Arts and Science College

C.K.M. Arts and Science College was started on 28th October 1967 with the blessings of noted Philanthropist, Acharya Chanda Kantaiah. It is one of the many service and charitable institutions which were started by him. It is the first institution in Telangana region to offer higher education in private sector. Acharya Chanda Kantaiah strove to develop new generation of students driven by timeless human values with practicle skills. He intended that the students should be committed to serve mankind with tolerance, trust love and humility. Tuked away from the din and bustle of the town, the Institute is nestled in a 10 acre campus in the suburbs of historical city of Warangal. It offiers courses in Arts, Science and Commerce at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level and affliated to Kakatiya University. C.K.M. is known for its academic excellence and unique discipline. It has not only produced meritorious graduates but also outstanding sportsmen, who have represented the University, State and the Nation as well. Today it is one of the premier educational institutions catering to the needs of Intermediate, Undergraduate and Postgraduate students in the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce through Telugu and English media of instruction. It is a matter of great pleasure to state that 4 former principals of this esteemed institution who strove hard for securing it a pride of place in the map of Higher Education in Andhra Pradesh are subsequently elevated as Vice Chancellors of Kakatiya, Potti Sree Ramulu and Dr. B.R.Ambedkar A.P.
