Established in 1966 in Tuticorin by the 1966 by the Tuticorin Education Society. Thiru A.M.M.S. Ganesan Nadar was the founder Patron of the Society and the college. At present Thiru. A.M.M.S.G. Kathiresan is the Patron of our college. The college was affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University till 1990. From September 1990 the College is affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. The College has been named after Bharat Ratna Shri. K. Kamaraj as a tribute to the invaluable service rendered by him to our nation, particularly to the cause of education. Today, the college is located in a beautiful 49.54 acre campus in South Tamilnadu, has approximately 2000 students, over 150 faculty, administrative and support staff and 27 courses of study. Many of our students have secured University Ranks including the University First Rank. The students have been successfully placed in many reputed national and multi-national companies. Our Alumni Association is very active. The College became a byword for academic and extra-curricular achievement, under the inspiring Presidentship of industrialist and philanthropist, Shri. Ilango Vetrivel. An enlightened and supportive managing committee, drawn from the fields of industry, law, journalism, academics and the bureaucracy, assists the President in the running of the college.
